As we established our own business model we learned a great deal about how creative work can benefit from applying business principals, and we are eager to share this knowledge.
Strategy and Consultancy Workshops
There’s a saying you hear from all good entrepreneurs: “If you aren’t making a living at it you have a hobby, not a career.”
Phrases like “Target market” and “return on investment” may feel out of place in the theatre world, but they can also provide valuable insight into what you hope to accomplish with your work. You want people to come see it, and to benefit in some way, whether through being educated or entertained.
How do you translate a cool artistic idea into a “marketable product? “
We will run workshops for your staff or personalised sessions to evaluate and brainstorm how you work not only artistically, but economically.
Writing a business plan
While the traditional business plan may be out of vogue, a cohesive document explaining your company and project mission, values, structure, and financial viability can be a great asset both in terms of identifying your own value
Such documentation can also be a valuable long-term investment. It can be used over and over again, to provide language in applying for funding, website and marketing copy, and evaluation so you don’t have to continually re-invent the wheel.
What we bring to the project:
• Sensitivity to the balance of artistic integrity and economic sustainability
• Experience of writing and implementing business plans
